Once all trim is installed, it can be filled with wood filler. Putty or tube filler works best. Tub filler can dry out too fast

Seams can be caulked with paintable caulk, the excess removed, and a consistent bead created by swiping a wet finger along the seam. Have a damp rag handy, using a portion to offload excess, and a clean portion to re-wet your finger

When painting, flooring and other areas that aren’t meant to be painted must be masked off. An exception to this is when trim is painted and the wall is to be painted afterward. The overspray on the wall is painted over with the wall color
